These times have been tough on everyone, especially for those on the frontline. It's easy to take on the weight of the world which leads to stress and anxiety. On top of that, due to quarantine, we're unable to engage in some of our favorite activities that tend to relieve such stress; including getting our hair done.

If you're wearing your natural hair for the first time, we want you to gain the hair confidence to feel empowered to wear your natural hair even when quarantine is over.

Here are 5 ways to start to #LivSoConfident:

  1. Be Gentle - Moisturize more often and take a break from applying heat.
  2. Be Careful - We incorporating scarves into our updos, but you should take breaks from them periodically to avoid thinning your edges. If you must wear them, be mindful about the material they are made out of.
  3. Be Fearless - It is your hair, so love on it! Use this time to reestablish your relationship with your hair by learning about it needs to thrive. Your stylist will be so appreciative once you're able to return, and so will you.
  4. Be Accepting - If you are accustomed to having your hair professionally styled, it may feel different to do it alone; and that's okay. This is a great way to take stock of how your hair looks and feels.
  5. Be Patient - If you are one who gets hair flat-ironed, know that it may take time for your curls to pop. It often takes at least 1-2 years of minimal straightening of your hair to get the curl pattern back to it's full potential. So be patient & use techniques like twists and rod styles to help get the textured look that you like in the meantime.
