It's back to school season! However, it looks a lot different than it did last year. Some of the kids are back in the classroom, others are in a hybrid world, and then there are some who are strictly learning from home.

All of these changes do not just have an impact on parents, it can cause changes in mood, energy, and confidence in our children, too.

We're all working hard to establish new normals, but one thing we can try our best to maintain is hair care for the kids.

Here are a few ways to maintain your hair routines and find some normalcy:

  • Don't change wash day - For many children, having a routine can help them feel normal and to thrive. Keep your wash day routine the same as it's always been.
  • Let the kids decide - Has your kid ever asked you for bright hair colors or maybe even a mohawk? This may be the perfect time to let them express themselves! Find some temporary color, or give them the cool style they've always wanted.
  • Learn a new style - For parents, this is also a great opportunity for you to learn some new styling skills! From beads, braids, and wash & go's, try something new on your kids this week.
  • Let them get fully dressed - Sure, this means you might have to do a little more laundry. But we all know what it feels like to have a nice hair-do with an outfit to match! Allow your kids to get fully dressed during their virtual school hours.
