Self-Care...Just Because!

Today is "National Just Because Day" and we want to encourage you to practice self-care—just because! Who says you need a reason to love on yourself?

 

What is "Just Because Day?"

 

This holiday was invented in the late fifties by Joseph J. Goodwin of Los Gatos, California. After gifting his wife a radio, "just because," he decided to create this holiday as a way to celebrate the beauty of spontaneity in life, which grew into an annual celebration across the United States.

 

In honor of this special day, here are some simple ways you can practice self-care for no reason at all:

  • Take 10 minutes to disconnect and breathe—no kids, no phones, just vibes!
  • Go for a walk and enjoy some time with nature.
  • Catch up on your favorite show or start binge-watching a new one!
  • Naps aren't just for the kids! Give yourself a 30-minute break by taking a quick cat nap.
  • Call a loved one just to catch up or have a good laugh.
